On Friday 16th July 1999 I went to see BJORN AGAIN (an ABBA Tribute Band) who were performing at Cheltenham Town Hall, with a supporting act of NEW DANDY SUGAR.

The NEW DANDY SUGAR band performed disco hits from the early 70's like SUPERSTITION, UPSIDE DOWN, LIVING FOR THE CITY, and PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC. Having seen this band before I felt they were better in the Imperial Gardens when they performed their own material.

Then after about a forty minute break, BJORN AGAIN came on stage and performed ABBA Songs for ninety minutes starting with WATERLOO and finishing with THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC. Some of the other songs performed included RING RING, FERNANDO, CHIQUITITA, MONEY MONEY MONEY, and KNOWING ME KNOWING YOU to name but a few. However, I actually felt that the best song on the night was a non ABBA song called PARANOID which was originally a hit by BLACK SABBATH. I also felt that the keyboard player was too active to be like BENNY.

Overall I did not think this concert was as good as some of the others I have attended and BJORN AGAIN were not as good as VOULEZ VOUS whom I have seen twice this year.
